Samsung TVs do not run Android, so an Android app cannot be installed on them. They run Tizen, and the route is a player from Samsung's own store plus an activation on the player's website.
What you need
- A Samsung Smart TV, 2017 model or newer
- Your M3U URL or Xtream login
- A phone or computer for the activation step
Step 1: Install a supported player
Open the Samsung Apps store on the TV and search for IBO Player. Smart IPTV and Flix IPTV also work the same way.
Step 2: Note the Device ID and key
Open the app. It shows a MAC address or Device ID, and often a short key. Write both down exactly.
Treat these like a password. Anyone with the device ID and key can change what that TV plays. Never post them in a group or a screenshot.
Step 3: Activate on the player's website
On a phone or computer, go to the address the app displays. Enter the device ID and key, then add your playlist: either the M3U URL or your Xtream username, password and server.
Step 4: Reload on the TV
Back on the TV, choose Reload or restart the app. Your channels appear. Most players charge a small one-off fee after a trial period, paid to them rather than to your provider.
If something goes wrong
App not in my TV's store
Models older than about 2017 may not have it. A cheap Android box plugged into the TV is the usual answer.
Channels will not load
Almost always a typo in the M3U URL. Copy and paste rather than typing it.
Asks for payment
That is the player's own fee, not your provider's. It is small and one-off.
Questions
Why can I not just install the Android app?
Samsung TVs run Tizen, which is a different operating system. Android apps cannot be installed on them at all.
Will my settings survive a TV reset?
No. A factory reset changes nothing about the account, but you will have to reinstall and reactivate the player.
Reseller tip: send this guide with the login, not after the customer asks. Most people who never got it working say nothing at all — they simply do not renew.
