Apple devices are the simplest of all. There is no sideloading and no hidden settings — the player comes straight from the App Store.
What you need
- An iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV 4th generation or newer
- Your username, password and server address
Step 1: Install a player
Open the App Store and search for a general IPTV player. Apple does not permit IPTV services to publish their own apps, so everyone uses a general one.
Step 2: Choose Xtream Codes
When the app asks how to add a playlist, pick Xtream Codes rather than M3U. The M3U option works but loses the TV guide.
Step 3: Enter your details
Name it anything. Enter the username, password and server address exactly as supplied, including http:// and the port number.
Step 4: Load and watch
The first load takes a minute. After that the app opens straight into the channels.
If something goes wrong
Typing on Apple TV is painful
When the keyboard appears your iPhone offers to type for you. Accept it.
No TV guide
You probably added an M3U link. Remove it and add the account again using Xtream Codes.
App asks for payment
Some iOS players charge a small fee that goes to their developer, not to your provider.
Questions
Why is there no official app?
Apple's rules do not allow IPTV services to publish their own players, so every provider uses a general one.
Can I AirPlay from my iPhone?
Yes, though installing on the Apple TV directly gives a better picture and does not tie up the phone.
Reseller tip: send this guide with the login, not after the customer asks. Most people who never got it working say nothing at all — they simply do not renew.
